Hydro-Tech First Show at Hydro 2024 and Successful On-water Demostration with MS400U

Rostock, Germany, November 5-7, 2024 — The coastal town of Rostock recently hosted Hydro 2024, a prestigious global conference focused on hydrographic surveying and ocean mapping technologies. This year's event saw and attracted participation from 53 leading marine electronics companies, as well as experts from around the world, all gathered to discuss the latest advances in marine technology.

Among the exhibitors, we are one of the only two Chinese companies present, showcasing MS400U multibeam echo sounder in a live water demonstration. This innovative system captivated the attention of industry professionals during a live on-water demonstration, showcasing our prowess in acoustic algorithm and sonar technology accumulation.

The highlight of the exhibition—on-water demonstration—saw our technical team do the sea trail near the breakwater of Rostock's harbor. With numerous rocks and complex terrain nearby, MS400U rose to the challenge and successfully completed the task of collecting underwater terrain data.

The raw data collected during the demonstration was impressive. Without any post-processing nor noise point removal, the data was directly converted into point clouds, revealing a vivid three-dimensional seabed terrain map. The clean, accurate, and high-precision data demonstrated the MS400U system's outstanding performance in various aquatic environments, especially in terms of bathymetric accuracy and underwater target detection precision.

Beyond product showcase, Hydro 2024 is also a platform for meaningful industry technology exchange. During the event, Dr. Lu, General Manager of Detection Products of Hydro-Tech, had involved in insightful discussions with international exhibitors and experts on multibeam technology applications. A highlight of the event was an unexpected meeting with Professor Xavier Lurton, a luminary in the field. Hope all of these encountes laid to more future collaborations.
