Hydro-Tech announced the launch of MS8240, a new generation Multibeam Echo Sounder capable of working at multi-frequency from 150 kHz to 450kHz adjustable at 10kHz step and also high frequency of 500kHz & 600kHz or optional for 700kHz. This Multibeam platform revolutionizes the previous single frequency multibeam roadmap with more flexible working frequency, while enabling ultra-high resolution and fine target features at 500, 600 or 700kHz and super wide sounding range of depth at 150kHz. In order to have more customers experience the excellent performance of MS8240, we did sea trail of various frequency and comparison test to world leading brand’s famous model. To respect to our rival, we would not say the actual model name but just call it as “RX”. The test was done in a river around a bridge. Water depth is from 8 to 13 meters. We use our latest survey and data acquisition software, which can show the 3D point cloud real-time.
